Evacuating device for lifts of a lift group, wherein an emergency control equipment (18) is provided, which on the occurrence of a case of emergency can be activated for the purpose of evacuation by passengers situated in a lift cage (A, B, C), characterized thereby, - that transition equipments (13), which display latchable doors (14), are arranged at the mutually facing side walls of the lift cages (A, B, C) guided in a common lift shaft (7), - that the emergency control equipment (18) displays a cage selection circuit (32a to 33, 45 to 46c), by means of which, on activation of the emergency control equipment (18), a lift cage (B, C), which is adjacent to the blocked lift cage (A, B, C) affected by the case of emergency is selected and connected to the emergency control equipment (18) and - that the emergency control equipment (18) displays an emergency travel circuit (34a to 44), by means of which the selected lift cage (B, C) is controlled to the level of the blocked lift cage (A, B, C) so that the passengers situated in this can, after the unlatching and opening of the doors (14), get by way of the transition equipments (13) into the selected lift cage (B, C).
