An ignition distributor with magnetic control for an internal combustion engine, wherein the distributor comprises : a rotor (5) driven in rotation by the control shaft (2) of the distributor and having a sleeve (6) on which is fixed, among other elements, a polar disc (7) having polar teeth on its periphery ; a stator (8) in magnetic contact with a permanent magnet (10) of annular shape, the permanent magnet being disposed concentrically with the control shaft (2), the stator (8) having polar teeth (9) concealing the polar teeth of the rotor (5) ; a winding (11) disposed between the polar elements of the rotor (5) and those of the stator (8) and carried by a coil carrier (12), the base (13) of which is held between the two support sleeve elements (1a, 1b) constituting the housing (1) of the distributor, the winding (11) being electrically connected through a connecting device (15) which includes a cable entry and which extends through the wall of one of the said support sleeve elements, being secured on the latter, characterised in that the base (13) of the coil carrier (12), on which the coil is fixed, is trapped between the two support sleeve elements (1a, 1b) of the housing (1) of the distributor by means of a resilient spacing gasket (14).
