Insulation fitting for a building roof supported by a skeleton composed of roof support elements such as sloping parts (9), rafters for example with intervening insulating panels mounted side by side over at least part of the roof to be insulated, characterised such that in order to suspend the panels to skeleton elements with air jet or ventilation space between the panels and the roof, each panel has at least one continuous groove (2) on one of its main faces, this groove being roughly the width of the sloping parts and deep less than the height of the same sloping elements with which it joins, as each of the panels is mounted by slipping the groove over the sloping part with simultaneous or subsequent fixing of the panel to the sloping element.
