Unit characterised in that it consists of a modular construction composed of a feeder, a frequency converter and a polarisation discriminator, these elements being integrated in a compact block which is mounted in the centre of the microwave aerial in a manner independent of the diameter of the aerial, the said construction being able to receive a second converter in order to use the unit with two polarisations, a link between the polarisation discriminator and the frequency converter being made by means of a microstrip-guide transition (1, 6), which transition provides the electrical insulation to the input of the converter. <IMAGE>

La présente invention concerne une unité externe pour foyer d'antenne à micro-ondes, caractérisée par le fait qu'elle est constituée d'une structure modulaire composée d'un feeder, d'un convertisseur de fréquence et d'un discriminateur de polarisation, ces éléments étant intégrés en un bloc compact qui est monté au foyer de l'antenne à micro-ondes de façon indépendante du diamètre de l'antenne, ladite structure étant susceptible de recevoir un deuxième convertisseur pour l'utilisation de l'unité avec deux polarisations, un raccordement entre le discriminateur de polarisation et le convertisseur de fréquence étant effectué au moyen d'une transition guide-micro bandes (1,6), laquelle transition assure l'isolation électrique à l'entrée du convertisseur.
