Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2599650A2] The invention relates to a device for casting metal in an ingot mould 6 with movable bottom, equipped with a riser in two parts 1 and 2, the lower part 2 of which is surrounded by an annular chamber 11 communicating with a source of pressurised gas by means of a conduit 12, these elements communicating with a clamping ring 8 and being held integral with a baseplate 10. It is characterised in that the ring 8 is equipped with an edge 14 which is fixed on a shoulder 15 placed at the upper part of the said ingot mould 6 by means of screw (screws) 16, and in that the said ingot mould is rendered integral with the baseplate 10 by means of at least four springs 17 which are diametrically opposed in pairs and integral with the clamping bar 18. This device facilitates the operations of dismantling and reassembling the ingot mould, in particular for changing from one size of billets to another. <IMAGE>

Dans une lingotière de coulée continue surmontée d'une rehausse, la périphérie de la partie inférieure (2) de cette rehausse est maintenue sous une pression de gaz inerte pendant toute la durée de la coulée au moyen d'une conduite (12) qui pénètre dans une chambre annulaire (11) formée par un écran (13) qui entoure ladite partie.
