Safety lock with a key, with a sleeve shaped stator (1) and a cylindrical rotor (2) rotatively supported in the latter, with staples (6, 7) mobile radially in openings (4, 5) of the stator (1) and pins (9, 10) mobile radially in openings (11, 12) of the rotor (2), the pins being adjacent to the key and adjustable radially in common with the staples by pin slides of the key, characterized in that the key (1) comprises on at least one of the pin slides transverse grooves (19) on each of both inclined sides of which is lying a pin (9) without play in the unlocked condition.
