Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0213114A1] 1. An arrangement for marking out a traffic lane comprising ground plates (1) fastened to the surface of the carriageway, e.g., by gluing, and a flag (7) capable of being inserted into, and removed from, a recess (6) of every ground plate (1), a connection means being provided for readily and quickly detaching the flag (7) from the ground plate (1), characterised in that the arrangement comprises a plurality of marking sets each formed by at least two ground plates and a flag, the marking sets being arranged on adjacent carriageways in a manner that at least one row of ground plates (1) without flags (7) is arranged along one traffic lane (21, 22, 23) and one row of ground plates (1) provided with flags (7) is arranged along a further, adjacent traffic lane (21, 22, 23), and the connection means is formed by an upwardly open groove (8) extending from at least one side (4) of the ground plate (1) transversely into the ground plate (1) and by a projection (11) provided on the lower end of the flag (7) in correspondence with the groove, each flag (7) being laterally insertable into the groove (8) of the ground plate (1), that each flag (7) is provided with at least one recess (25) serving as a handle hole, and that a snap lock is provided between the groove (8) of the ground plate (1) and the projection (11) of the flag (7), which snap lock is formed by an elevation (26) extending transversely to the groove (8) or flag (7) and designed solidly with one of these pieces and by a corresponding indentation (27) provided in the counter piece, this snap lock being releasable by lateral displacement of the flag (7) relative to the ground plate (1).
