[origin: EP0213231A1] 1. Water-resistant paper support for photographic layers comprising a coating hardened by radiation with electronic beams and a base paper with reactive sizing and an aluminium compound, characterized in that the base paper comprises at least a water soluble aluminium compound in an amount of 1 to 12 kg/t cellulose with reference to the aluminium ion and that the pH-value of the cellulose suspension used to produce the paper was between 5 and 8.
