Abstract (en)
[origin: WO8602286A1] A dispersion process in which a material to be ground, consisting of solids and of a liquid phase is conveyed through an agitator (1) containing grinding elements. Energy is fed into the agitator by rotating rotors (2) and the solids are broken up and wetted by the liquid phase, whereby the rotors (2) turn at such a high speed that the grinding elements, which are moved by the latter, produce on the inner wall of the agitator (1) an accumulation (10) of grinding elements which rotates, whereby, in the centre of this accumulation (10) a space that is essentially free of grinding elements is produced, and the grinding material is fed radially (3) to the agitator, and the accumulation (10) of grinding elements flows through radially in such a way that in relation to the grinding elements a centrifugal fluidized bed is created, the removal from the space free of grinding elements being effected by a grinding element separation device (4).
