Le phare possède un objectif (15) non corrigé en couleurs, qui reproduit le bord du filtre (14) comme frontière clair/obscur (19, 20) du faisceau lumineux (18) sur la chaussée, et un élément de correction (16) qui dirige les rayons du faisceau lumineux (18) qui forment une frange colorée à la frontière clair/obscur (19, 20) dans la zone de clarté du faisceau. Ainsi est réalisé, sans l'inconvénient de la frange colorée, le faisceau lumineux (18) blanc prescrit par le législateur.
