The folding clasp consists of a top part (3), to which one half (1) of the strap is attached, a folding part and a bottom part (4), in which the other half (2) of the strap is arranged so as to be displaceable and fixable. The folding part is a folding device composed of several folding elements (9, 10, 11) which are connected to one another in an articulated manner. Inserted in at least one connection joint between two folding elements (10, 11) is a spring (12) which, when the clasp is opened, prevents the folding elements (10, 11) from folding in the opposite direction and holds the folding elements (10, 11) elastically in a semi-opened position. When the clasp is closed, the short folding elements (9, 10, 11) rest quite flatly above one another. Due to the optimum use of space inside the clasp case, the folding clasp is of extremely short and flat construction. <IMAGE>

Es wird ein verstellbarer Faltverschluß für Uhrarmbänder beschrieben, der aus einem Oberteil (3) besteht, an dem die eine Bandhälfte (1) befestigt ist, einem Faltteil und einem Unterteil (4), in dem die andere Bandhälfte (2) verschiebbar und fixierbar angeordnet ist. Das Faltteil ist eine aus mehreren gelenkig miteinander verbundenen Faltelementen (9, 10, 11) zusammengesetzte Faltvorrichtung. In mindestens einem Verbindungsgelenk zwischen zwei Faltelementen (10, 11) ist eine Feder (12) eingesetzt, die bei geöffnetem Verschluß das Überklappen der Faltelemente (10, 11) in entgegengesetzte Richtung verhindert und die Faltelemente (10, 11) elastisch in halbgeöffneter Position hält. Bei geschlossenem Verschluß liegen die kurzen Faltelement (9, 10, 11) ganz flach übereinander. Aufgrund der optimalen Raumausnutzung innerhalb des Verschluß kastens ist der Faltverschluß extrem kurz und flach gebaut.
