Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0215195A1] 1. Hydraulically operated apparatus for driving weaving shuttles having disposed on each side of the slay a double-acting hydraulic cylinder (1) in which there is displaceably disposed a piston (5), there being connected to each hydraulic cylinder (1) a control unit comprising control valves, wherein a control valve (PA) is situated in the pressure medium supply duct (P) leading to the cylinder chamber (A) which has no piston rod, a second control valve (TA) is disposed before a return flow tank (T), and a third control valve (BT) is provided, to which there is connected that cylinder chamber (B) of the hydraulic cylinder (1) which has the piston rod (2), and wherein a connecting duct (VLA) connects the control valve (PA, TA) to one another and to the cylinder chamber (A) having no piston rod, a third pressure medium supply duct (P2 ) is provided, which leads to that side (A) of the hydraulic cylinder (1) which has no piston rod, and a positioning cylinder (6) leads to the hydraulic cylinder (1), there being mounted in the positioning cylinder (6) a piston (7), of which the piston rod (8) is directed towards the piston (5) of the hydraulic cylinder (1), characterised in that there is provided in the duct (10) between the control valve (TA) and the tank (T) an air exhaust valve (EL) and the tank is situated at a low level in relation to the whole hydraulic duct system.
