Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0215323A2] To regulate the heating temperature of a continuous-flow heater (10), which is connected before an atomising nozzle (1) of an oil burner, it is envisaged to heat the continuous-flow heater (10) up to its operating temperature, before setting the oil burner in operation, with a reduced heating capacity and/or in a delayed manner in individual temperature stages. In this manner, it is guaranteed that the heating temperature is only slightly exceeded, if at all, when a burner starts, so that it is reliably excluded that crack processes take place in the continuous- flow heater (10). Coke-type residues can accordingly not form, and blockages in the atomising nozzle (1) as well as impairment of the heat transfer are accordingly avoided.
