[origin: WO8605746A1] A writing instrument comprises a casing (10) within which is disposed a ball point and ink reservoir unit (22) and a light unit including a bulb (13) and a battery cell (12). The ball point and reservoir unit (22) is provided at one end of the casing (10) and the light unit at the other end. The bulb and reservoir are arranged axially within the casing and are disposed in an axially non-overlapping manner. A portion of the casing between the writing end of the casing and the bulb and containing the reservoir unit is capable of transmitting light from the bulb axially along the casing to the writing end from which the light emerges.

Un instrument d'écriture comprend une enveloppe (10) contenant une bille et un réservoir d'encre (22) ainsi qi'un élément d'éclairage composé d'une ampoule (13) et d'une pile (12). La bille et le réservoir (22) sont placés à l'une des extrémités de l'enveloppe (10), l'élément d'éclairage se trouvant à l'autre extrémité. L'ampoule et le réservoir sont placés axialement dans l'enveloppe et sont disposés sans chevauchement axial. Une partie de l'enveloppe située entre la pointe d'écriture de l'enveloppe et l'ampoule et contenant le réservoir est capable de transmettre la lumière à partir de l'ampoule de manière axiale le long de l'enveloppe jusqu'à la pointe d'écriture d'où la lumière sort.
