[origin: WO8701314A1] Process and device for manufacturing a wire link conveyor (10) from alternating right- and left-coiled spirals (4, 5) made of metal or plastic wire, in which the spirals are fed to a constriction in such a way that the turns forming the spirals open up in the region of the constriction and the turns which are facing one another are partly forced into one another in such a manner that one of the turns of one of the spirals is located between adjacent turns of the adjacent spiral. The turns thus inserted in one another are connected by inserting a connecting wire (12) in the space formed by the turns which thus overlap and several pairs of turns inserted in one another are fed to the constriction, in the region of which the turns are driven in the transport direction (13). A high production speed is achieved, and the wire link conveyors obtained are of wide dimensions.
