[origin: US4693407A] A power impact device, particularly for fasteners, comprises a propelling passage, a driver movable in the propelling passage, a magazine for fasteners and crossing the propelling passage, and an abutment arranged for positioning a set of fasteners for separating a frontmost fastener by the driver, the abutment being formed so that only a part of the cross-section of the set of fasteners is supported and so that it is displaceable relative to the propelling passage, the driver having a cross-section which deviates from a cross-section of the propelling passage over a fit tolerance so as to allow narrowing of the propelling passage without preventing movement of the driver and reducing its thickness.

Es wird ein kraftbetriebenes Einschlaggerät, insbesondere für Heftklammern vorgeschlagen, mit dem wahlweise jeweils eine oder mehrere, vorzugsweise zwei Heftklammern (38) zugleich eingeschlagen werden. Das Stützprofil eines Anschlags (26) für ein Heftmittelpaket (9) und der Querschnitt eines Treibers (36) für die einzutreibenden Heftmittel (38) sind ineinandergefügt. Sie übergreifen einander mindestens für die Dicke eines Heftmittels (38). Somit kann mindestens ein Heftmittel (38) vom Anschlag (26) aus einem Schußkanal (35) des Einschlaggerätes (1) gedrängt werden, ohne daß die Beweglichkeit des Treibers (36) im Schußkanal (35) dabei beeinträchtigt ist. Die Dicke des Treibers (36) reicht dennoch aus, sämtliche gleichzeitig durch den Schußkanal (35) passenden Heftmittel (38) zugleich zu treiben. Im Extremfalle können alle Heftmittel (38) aus dem Schußkanal (35) verdrängt werden. Damit ist auch eine Freischußsicherung und eine Möglichkeit zum Mehrfachschlag auf ein Heftmittel (38) gegeben.
