A plastic bag for vacuum packaging, in particular for vacuum packaging of food, in the case of which at least one wall consists of a plurality of interconnected layers, the inner layer (9) being made of a thermoplastic material and the outer layer (11) being made of a material which is impermeable to gas, said two layers (9, 11) being interconnected and at least the inner layer (9) being shaped in such a way that it includes recesses or channels (13) on the exposed inner surface, said channels (13) being interconnected so as to form a lattice like pattern, characterized in that the two layers (9, 11) are joined together over their entire surfaces and are shaped in the same manner.
