A refrigerating apparatus, particularly of the domestic type, comprising a refrigerating compartment (7) having walls of a plastic material, and a panel-shaped metal evaporator (5) secured in contact with a wall (6) of the refrigerating compartment (7) by the interposition therebetween of a double-faced adhesive film For permitting the evaporator to be constructed without dimensional limits the thermal transition surfaces between the heat exchanger panel (5) and the wall (6) are provided with expansion joints (8A, 8B; 10).
