1. Cover for a stackable crate for bottles for drinks, the crate having a base supporting the bottles which has a honeycomb-like fan insert for the bottles, sidewalls projecting above the upper ends of the bottles, which sidewalls have an upper surrounding edge strip and a lower complementary surrounding step for reliably supported sitting of casings on one another, and in which at least some of the sidewalls are provided with gripping recesses, which cover is supported on the upper end of the bottles or bottle closures, is of plate-like form made from a self-supporting material which is opaque and as insensitive to moisture as possible and having an at least partially surrounding edge which is bent over at the side, and is connectable with the crate position guaranteeing means, characterised by an edge formed by displaceable side flaps (11-14) laid out below an angle (gamma) of about 5 to 20 degrees matching approximately the tapering (62) of the bottle neck, the facing edges of the flaps being shaped in the corner region for formation of ventilation slots.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Abdeckung für einen stapelbaren Kasten für Getränkeflaschen mit Seitenwänden mit Griffausnehmungen, die plattenförmig aus einem selbsttragenden lichtundurchlässigen gegen Feuchtigkeit möglichst unempfindlichen Material mit einem seitlichen abgebogenen zumindest teilweise umlaufenden Rand ausgebildet ist, und durch ein Befestigungsmittel (5) mit dem Kasten (3) verbindbar ist, wobei der Rand von unter einem Winkel von etwa 5 bis 20° ausgestellten bewegbaren Seitenlaschen (11, 14), deren Stirnkanten zur Bildung von Lüftungsschlitzen im Eckbereich abgeschrägt sind, gebildet wird.
