Abstract (en)

The avalanche protection unit (1) has a V-shaped contour, the aperture of the V being directed towards the hill, and consists of two plates (2, 3) of rigid material which are vertical or inclined and which are connected to one another fixedly or releasably, for example hooked to one another, along one of their lateral edges; the unit (1) can also consist of a single appropriately curved plate. The plates have orifices (4), through which small quantities of snow or stones can slip. The unit can be anchored in the ground, supported towards the valley (9) and/or braced towards the hill; for connection and bracing with adjacent identical units arranged at a distance, the avalanche protection unit has tension devices and connections for corresponding appliances.

Das Lawinenverbauelement (1) hat einen V-förmigen Grundriss, wobei die Öffnung des V bergwärts gerichtet ist, und besteht aus zwei senkrecht oder geneigt stehenden Platten (2, 3) aus steifem Material, die an einer ihrer seitlichen Kanten miteinander fest oder lösbar verbunden werden, z.B. miteinander verhakt werden; das Element (1) kann auch aus einer einzigen, entsprechend gebogenen Platte bestehen. Die Platten weisen Offnungen (4) auf, durch die kleine Mengen von Schnee oder Geröll durchrutschen können. Das Element (1) kann in Boden verankert, talseitig abgestützt (9) und oder bergseitig abgespannt werden; zum Verbinden und verspannen mit benachbarten, im Abstand angeordneten gleichen Elementen weist das Lawinenverbauelement Zugvorrichtungen und Anschlüsse für entsprechende Vorrichtungen auf.
