Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0217192A2] 1. Riveting press (10) with an upper and a lower tool (11; 13) to attach a functional haberdashery element such as a press-stud part, eye, hook, rivet head or the like to a carrier such as a garment, by means of deformable fastening elements such as bendable clamps, closeable rivet shafts, pins that can be pushed in or the like, with at least one device known as an oscillating conveyor (32, 32'), consisting, on the one hand, of a conveyor pot taking a certain kind of functional and/or fastening element or elements and functioning as a supply container (28, 29) and, on the other hand, of a vibrating device (35) forming a structural unit with it, the conveyor pot (28, 29) being capable of being set in motion (37) by the vibrating device (35) and possessing in its interior a sorting channel (33) for the arrangement in line of the elements which are or have been brought into a particular spatial orientation, and with a transport track (26, 27) carrying the orientated element line to the upper or lower tool (11; 13), wherein a sensing member (45) responding to a certain minimum number of operations of the riveting press (10) per time unit (minimum-operation timing sequence) is linked with a switch (48) integrated in one power line, in particular the electrical power line (41), of the energy supply (36) of the oscillating conveyor (32, 32') and the sensing member (45) stops the oscillating conveyor (32, 32') when this minimum-operation timing sequence is not achieved.
