Une turbomachine comprend un dispositif de réglage de la fente radiale entre le rotor et le carter. Le carter intérieur est composé de parties en forme de coques ayant des sièges de centrage maintenus à une distance déterminée des coques adjacentes. La construction du carter rend celui-ci facile à monter, à démonter et à entretenir. Ce carter peut être utilisé, par exemple, pour turbines à gaz d'avions.
