Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0218547A2] 1. A drilling and chiselling hammer having a percussion mechanism comprising a percussion piston (4) which is set into reciprocating motion by a motor-operated excitation piston and which delivers its percussive energy to a tool (6) by way of an anvil (5, 23, 43) which is displaceable in an axially limited manner in which respect the path of displacement in the drilling or, respectively, chiselling direction is limited by an abutment shoulder (18, 28, 48) of the anvil (5, 23, 43) running up against a stop (19, 29, 49) of a housing-sided guide body (1, 21, 41), characterised in that arranged between the guide body (1, 21, 41) and the anvil (5, 23, 43) is a spring element which is supported against a supporting shoulder (11, 33, 51) of the guide body (1, 21, 41) and against a supporting shoulder (15, 31, 55) of the anvil (5, 23, 43) and which is designed as a rubber-elastic ring (16, 32, 54) and which keeps the abutment shoulder (18, 28, 48) of the anvil (5, 23, 43) at a spacing from the stop (19, 29, 49) of the guide body (1, 21, 41), by the extent of the spring path contrary to the drilling or, respectively, chiselling direction, in which respect the supporting shoulder (11, 33, 51) of the guide body (1, 21, 41) projects radially into the path of movement of the anvil (5, 23, 43).
