[origin: WO8606261A1] A metal shelf for load bearing applications. The shelf is generally rectangular with cylindrical post receiving members (10, 12, 14, 16) at the four corners to hold the shelf in place on cylindrical posts. A first embodiment is described wherein improved load bearing support members (18, 20, 22, 24) trace the perimeter of the shelf which comprise parallel lip wires and a truss wire (38) of generally serpentine shape welded to the lip wires to support them in general parallel relation to each other. A second embodiment is described similar to the first embodiment except for an additional support member (62) supporting the center of the shelf in a longitudinal direction, containing two parallel lip wires (64, 66) and two sets of truss wires (68, 74), each of a generally serpentine shape and each welded to the parallel lip wires. The deck wires (32) for supporting the load on the shelf are also welded to the support members forming the perimeter of the shelf.

Une étagère métallique de support de charges est généralement rectangulaire et comprend des éléments cylindriques (10, 12, 14, 16) de réception des montants, agencés aux quatre coins de l'étagère pour la maintenir en place sur des montants cylindriques. Dans un premier mode de réalisation, des éléments améliorés de support de charge (18, 20, 22, 24) définissent la périphérie de l'étagère qui comprend des fils parallèles de bord et un fil de renforcement (38) généralement serpentin soudé aux fils de bord pour les soutenir parallèlement l'un à l'autre. Dans un deuxième mode de réalisation, similaire au premier, un élément additionnel de support (62) soutient longitudinalement le centre de l'étagère et contient deux fils parallèles de bord (64, 66) et deux ensembles de fils de renforcement (68, 74) dont chacun a une forme serpentine et est soudé aux fils parallèles de bord. Les fils de couverture (32) qui soutiennent la charge sur l'étagère sont également soudés aux éléments de support qui forment le périmètre de l'étagère.
