[origin: US4722118A] A fiber carding web emerging from a pair of crush rollers is taken off and is gathered into a fiber sliver by at least one endless conveyor belt which is guided by means of a first and a second guide roll and is tangent to the pair of rollers across their feeding width. In order to ensure that the carding web is taken off correctly when the relative axial position of the rollers to each other changes, the axis of the guide rolls is supported so that it can be locked in the changed axial position of the rollers and the conveyor belt is guided over a driving roll removed from the plane connecting the axes of the guide rolls.

Das Abnehmen und Zusammenfassen eines aus einem Walzenpaar (10, 11) austretenden Faservlieses (V) zu einem Faserband erfolgt durch wenigstens ein endloses Transportband (2; 21), das mittels einer ersten und zweiten Umlenkrolle (3, 4) geführt ist und das Walzenpaar (10, 11) über seine Lieferbreite tangiert. Um bei einer Änderung der Achslage der Walzen (10, 11) zueinander eine ordnungsgemäße Vliesabnahme sicherzustellen, ist die Achse der Umlenkrollen (3, 4) der geänderten Achslage der Walzen nachführbar gelagert und das Transportband ist über eine von der Achsverbindungsebene der Umlenkrollen entfernt angeordnete Antriebsrolle (5) geführt.
