Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0218965A2] A motor-driven refuse vehicle possesses refuse-receiving containers designed as exchangeable containers with releasable couplings and a dumping space provided with a dumping orifice (6). A lifting device (23) picks up the refuse bins (9) to be emptied and puts them down above the dumping orifice. A conveying and pressing device (7) transports the refuse emptied into the dumping orifice into the container (5) through its filling orifice equipped with a closing device. So that even relatively large refuse bins (9) can be emptied and put down again in a simple way, above or in the region of the dumping orifice there is a supporting frame (8), equipped with claws, journals or the like, for large refuse bins (9) which are put down vertically onto this and which, to be emptied, have a split bottom, the halves of which can be moved away from one another into the opening position and towards one another into the closing position. Each bottom half is equipped with a coupling part (24) for the positive engagement of the claws, journals or the like which are guided displaceably on the supporting frame and which are equipped with a drive so that they positively impart the opening and closing movements to the bottom halves.
