[origin: US4714001A] For each register of the instrument, the device comprises at least one auxiliary tube branched in the vicinity of the head of the instrument and a manual control mechanism making it possible to open or close the auxiliary tube at its first end in contact with the instrument or at its second end turned towards the outside. This device more particularly applies to flute mouthpiece instruments or reed instruments, such as clarinets, saxophones, oboes and bassoons.

Le dispositif comprend pour chaque registre de l'instrument au moins un tube auxiliaire (50, 52) qui est monté en dérivation au voisinage de la tête de l'instrument et un mécanisme à commande manuelle permettant d'obturer ou d'ouvrir le tube auxiliaire à sa première extrémité au contact de l'instrument ou à sa seconde extrémité tournée vers l'extérieur. Ce dispositif s'applique plus particulièrement à des instruments à embouchure de flûte ou à des instruments à anche tels que les clarinettes, saxophones, hautbois et bassons.
