1. Wood splitting machine comprising a threaded cone (14) with a horizontal rotation axis revolving above a table, and characterized by the fact that it also contains a fixed tube (15) which is parallel to the cone axis (14) and in which the sliding part of an arm (17) is fixed, whereas the other part of the arm is bent and has its end (19) facing the cone tip (14), this end (19) moves from a position very close to the tip to a position far from it when the arm (17) slides in the tube (15), whereas a device holds the end in question (19) on the cone axis (14) during the sliding and a spring (20) continually returns this end (19) to the position very close to the tip.

La machine comporte un cône rotatif (14), d'axe horizontal, tournant au-dessus d'une table (5). Dans un tube fixe (15), parallèle à l'axe du cône (14), est montée coulissante une partie d'un bras (17) dont l'autre partie, coudée, a son extrémité (19) qui fait face á la pointe du cône (14), l'extrémité (19) se déplaçant entre une position trés rapprochée et une position éloignée de la pointe quand le bras (17) coulisse dans le tube (15). Pendant le coulissement, l'extrémité (19) est maintenue sur l'axe du cône (14) par une rainure longitudinale (16) dans une des parois du tube (15) et une saillie (18) sur la partie du bras (17) qui coulisse dans le tube (15), la saillie (18) étant engagée dans la rainure (16). Un ressort (20) rappelle l'extrémité (19) dans la position trés rapprochée de la pointe.
