Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0220742A2] The overhead door has a counter balancing device by use of helical tension springs arranged between a lateral spar of the frame and a pivoting lever which is itself mounted rotatably on the frame and articulated on the door leaf which is moreover mounted displaceably in horizontal guide rails via rollers. To provide protection against spring parts which are flung off when a spring breaks, one-part or two-part protective elements pass through these springs, specifically in such a way as to ensure a positive connection of the protective element.
