Device for purging a developer mixture (13) containing a magnetic component from a developer unit (10) of a non-mechanical printing or copying machine, the developer unit (10) having at the base a channel-shaped exhaust opening (17) extending across the width of the developer unit, characterized in that next to the exhaust opening (17) there is located a magnetic closing device (18) which is constructed in such a way that in the activated state its magnetic field forms in the region of the exhaust opening (17) a plug of developer mixture (13) that closes the exhaust opening, and which in the deactivated state releases the exhaust opening (17), and in that a suction device (26) is provided downstream of the exhaust opening.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Entfernen eines, eine magnetische Komponente enthalenden Entwicklergemisches aus einer Entwicklerstation (10) eines nichtmechanischen Druck oder Kopiergerätes. Die Entwicklerstation (10) weist am Boden eines sich über die Breite der entwicklerstation (10) erstreckende kanalartige Entleeröffnung (17) auf. In deren Umgebung befindet sich eine magnetische Verschlußeinrichtung (18), die derart ausgestaltet ist, daß ihr Magnetfeld im aktivierten Zustand im Bereich der Entleeröffnung (17) einen die Entleeröffnung (17) verschließenden Pfropf aus Entwicklergemisch bildet und die im deaktivierten Zustand die Entleeröffnung (17) freigibt, wobei die Entwicklerstation (10) durch eine nachgeordnete Saugeinrichtung (Gebläse) entleert wird.
