Abstract (en)
In the process, a mixture of solid fuel and ore is hot sintered, the mixture forming a bed (29) in continuous horizontal movement under a furnace known as an ignition hood, suction being carried out under the bed, the furnace being heated by burners (15). The lower faces (21a) of the burners are brought to a temperature to radiate onto the bed to be sintered (29), thus creating an ignition arch. <IMAGE>

Procédé d'allumage d'un lit de minerai en vue de son agglomération, dans lequel on fritte à chaud un mélange de combustible solide et de minerai, le mélange formant un lit (29) en mouvement horizontal continu sous un four appelé hotte d'allumage, une aspiration étant faite sous le lit, le four étant chauffé par des brûleurs (15). Les faces inférieures (21a) des brûleurs sont portées en température pour rayonner sur le lit à agglomérer (29), créant ainsi un voûtin d'allumage.
