A lid of a laminate material with an opening sealed with a tear-off strip, characterized in that a plastics insert (13) having a rim (17) is inserted into the stamped out opening (3) in the lid (1) and the rim (17) of the plastics insert (13) which extends into the region adjacent to the opening (3) and overlaps the opening (3) is bonded or sealed to the lid (1) and that an intended point of fracture is located between the rim (17) and the central portion of the plastics insert (13) forming the seal (15) in the form of a thin connection (21) and in that the tear-off strip covering the opening (3) from above is sealed to the seal (15) and the region of the lid (1) surrounding the seal (15), wherein the connection with the seal (15) cannot be released and the connection with the lid (1) can be peeled apart.
