Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8606826A1] In order to reduce the space required inside a rotary body (24) of the turret of a tank to transfer ammunition cartridges (3) from a container magazine (4) to the turret magazine (10) there is used as a transporter a gun tube (1) which is pivotable about a cradle axis (2). To transport the ammunition shells to the loading space (15) of the gun, the ammunition (3) in the container magazine (4) of the container frame (23) of the tank in a gripping position (5) is inclined so that it forms a straigth line (7) with the axis (6) reduced from the gun (1) with a height angle alpha with respect to the horizontal. In order to guide the ammunition shells in the recoil path s of the gun, pivotable spacing parts (11, 12) are arranged in the container magazine (4) and in the turret magazine (10). The gun (1) is used as a transporter on one hand to fill the turret magazine (10) with ammunition cartridges pulled from the store of ammunition of the container magazine (4) and on the other hand to fill the container magazine (4), in the reverse transport direction. For the longitudinal transportation of ammunition cartridges into the charging space (15) of the gun (1), or for removing them therefrom, place setting devices (16, 17) are arranged on the turret magazine (10) on the container magazine (4).
