A closure (10) for containers intended for receiving moisture-sensitive contents, wherein on the inside of the closure facing the interior of the container there is arranged a chamber (14) with an enclosed store of a desiccant substance (16) in such a way that air enclosed in the container and possibly containing moisture has access to the desiccant substance (16). The latter indicates the exhaustion of its desiccant capability by changing colour. A transparent window is provided in the wall of the chamber (14) receiving the desiccant substance, which wall is visible when the closure is opened. The colour of the desiccant substance (16) can be observed through said window. The edge region of the window has at least in some areas a reference colour which corresponds either to the colour of the fully effective substance (16) or to the colour of the originally desiccant substance (16) when it is no longer effective as a result of absorption of excessive moisture. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Verschluß (10) für zur Aufnahme von feuchtigkeitsempfindlichem Verpackungsgut bestimmten Behältern. Auf der dem Behälterinnern zugewandten Innenseite des Verschlusses ist eine Kammer (14) mit einem eingeschlossenen Vorrat einer trocknungsaktiven Substanz (16) so angeordnet, daß im Behälter eingeschlossene, ggf. Feuchtigkeit enthaltene Luft Zutritt zur trocknungsaktiven Substanz (16) hat. Die trocknungsaktive Substanz zeigt die Erschöpfung ihrer Trocknungswirksamkeit durch einen Farbumschlag an. In der bei geöffnetem Verschluß sichtbaren Wandung der die trocknungsaktive Substanz aufnehmenden Kammer (14) ist eine durchsichtiges Fenster vorgesehen, durch welches die Farbe der trocknungsaktiven Substanz (16) beobachtbar ist. Der Randbereich des Fensters weist zumindest abschnittsweise eine Referenzfarbe auf, welche entweder der Farbe der voll wirksamen oder der Farbe der infolge zu hoher Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme nicht mehr wirksamen, ursprünglich trocknungsaktiven Substanz (16) entspricht.
