[origin: US4732203A] The doors of a type including closure elements are guided at the side and which are provided with a drive mechanism. To simplify the drive mechanism, and to increase the operational reliability, there are inventively provided one or more motors that are secured to the closure elements and that have a gear wheel which meshes with a track that extends parallel to the lateral guide rails. Preferably, the gear wheels and the lateral guide rollers are coaxially disposed, with the guide rollers being freely rotatable.

Die Erfindung geht von Toren dieser Art aus, die seitlich geführte, mit einem Antrieb versehene Verschlusselemente (1) aufweisen. Um den Antrieb zu vereinfachen und die Betriebssicherheit zu erhöhen, sind aufgrund der Erfindung ein oder mehrere Motore (14) vorgesehen, die an den Verschlusselementen (1) befestigt sind und ein Zahrad (12) aufweisen, dass mit einer Bahn (9) kämmt, die parallel zu den seitlichen Führungsbahnen verläuft. Vorzugsweise sind dabei die Zahnräder (12) und die seitlichen Führungsrollen (7) gleichachsig angeordnet, wobei die Führungsrollen (7) frei drehbar gelagert sind.
