A washing machine comprising an element (11) for heating the water supplied with energy as function of the condition that is to say open or closed, of a switch (21) of an electromechanical programmer comprising cams driven by an electrical micromotor (18), and means for the control of the temperature of the supply of the heating element (11), when a desired temperature is reached, characterized in that the micromotor (18) is in series with a static switch (14), whose conducting state depends on the output signal of a control circuit (10) receiving, on the one hand, the signal of a sensor (12) for the temperature of the water and, on the other hand, a signal for the set temperature and acting on the conducting state of the static switch in order to cause rotation of the micromotor in order to interrupt the supply to the heating element (11) when the set temperature is reached.
