[origin: US4708103A] A hydraulic valve clearance compensation element comprising a hydraulic compensation element (2) in a bore of a rocker arm (1) or similar actuating mechanism extending coaxially from a stem (4) of an engine valve, a longitudinally moveable, adjusting piston (3) ending towards the valve stem (4) in a spherical projection (5) and between said projection and the end face (6) of the valve stem (4) a guide shoe (7,14) is arranged, comprising, on the one hand, a spherical cavity (8) which engages the spherical projection (5) of the adjusting piston (3) and, on the other hand, being supported with a plane surface (9) on the end face (6) of the valve stem (4), characterized in that, on the adjusting piston (3), a cage portion (11) emanates from a location situated behind the spherical projection (5), and extends in the direction of the valve stem (4) and ends there in radially inwardly directed locating zones (13), which engage behind an outer surface (15) of the guide shoe (7,14) and projections (10), respectively, of this surface so that the guide shoe is securely held onto adjusting piston (3) while being angularly freely moveable to said piston.

Bei einer hydraulischen Spielausgleichsvorrichtung, bei der in einer in Verlängerung des Schaftes (4) eines Motorventils verlaufenden Bohrung eines Kipphebels (1) ein hydraulisches Ausgleichselement (2) untergebracht ist, dessen längsverschiebbarer Einstellkolben (3) zum Ventilschaft (4) hin in einem Kugelvorsprung (5) endet, zwischen dem und der planen Stirnfläche (6) des Ventilschaftes (4) ein Gleitschuh (7, 14) angeordnet ist, der einerseits eine Kugelkalotte (8) aufweist, in die der Kugelvorsprung (5) des Einstellkolbens (3) eingreift, und der andererseits sich mit einer Planfläche (9) an der Stirnfläche (6) des Ventilschaftes (4) abstützt, wird eine sichere und unverlierbare Halterung des Gleitschuhes dadurch erreicht, daß am Einstellkolben (3) von einer hinter dem Kugelvorsprung (5) liegenden Stelle ein Käfigteil (11) ausgeht, das sich in Richtung zum Ventilschaft (4) erstreckt und dort in radial einwärts gerichteten Haltezonen (13) endet, die die Außenmantelfläche (15) des Gleitschuhes (7, 14) bzw. Vorsprünge (10) dieser Mantelfläche derart hintergreifen, daß der Gleitschuh bei freier Winkelbeweglichkeit gegenüber dem Einstellkolben (3) verliersicher an diesem gehalten ist.
