Door hinge for a motor vehicle door, in which the hinge axis for the door is formed by an upper door joint and a lower door joint as a ball joint (3), each door joint consists of a first joint part, which can be secured to the vehicle body, and a second joint part, which can be secured to the door, the first joint part is a swivel part (4), to which the ball joint (3) is attached on the door side and which is formed on the vehicle body side as a spherical surface (8), which can be swivelled at a counter-spherical surface (9) formed on the vehicle body, and the position of the spherical surfaces (8, 9) with respect to one another can be fixed by a fastening means (13, 14; 25, 27) which penetrates these spherical surfaces, characterised in that the second joint part is a bracket (2) with the sperical holding part for the vertically projecting spherical joint part, which is attached to the swivel part (4), of the ball joint (3) and the bracket can be moved at a contact contour (21) of the door parallel to the hinge axis and can be connected to the door when the counter-spherical surface (9) is disposed on the vehicle body side, or that the bracket (2) is connected to the door in a rigid and immobile manner, the counter-sperical surface which is disposed on the vehicle body being formed as a separate spherical segment or ball socket part (24) which can be moved at and secured to the vehicle body (6).
