A flop-down target plate for shooting practice at earth bounded weapons with practice and fighting ammunition, with a plate (1) mounted to pivot on a base-frame on a pivot axis in the plane of the plate and with a power-and-control source for making the target plate pop up and flop down, the power-and-control source having a pneumatic cylinder (9) mounted directly on the base-frame (5, 6, 11), the pneumatic cylinder (9) being connected through a compressed-air hose (13) with a compressed-air tank (15) and controlled by a radio-controlled electronic control unit (18), characterised in that the base-frame (5 6, 11) can be dismantled, the pneumatic cylinder (9) being connectable, through a compressed-air hose (13) of specified length, with a power-and-control unit (14) which is separate from the target-plate (1) and set up on the terrain independently and at a distance from it, the power-and-control unit (14) comprising an electrically driven air compressor (16), a compressed-air tank (15), an electric battery (17) and a radio-controlled electronic control unit (18).
