[origin: US4686839A] In the flat knitting machine with a needle selection device, the needles (12) are selected at double selection points and the non-selected needles (12) are locked by means of a locking jack (25) and the control butt (22) of their needle jack (19) is removed from the cam tracks. Bei der Flachstrickmaschine mit Nadelauswahleinrichtung werden die Nadeln (12) an Doppelwählstellen ausgewählt und die nicht ausgewählten Nadeln (12) mittels einer Riegelplatine (25) bei aus den Schloßbahnen ausgekuppeltem Steuerfuß (22) ihres Nadelschiebers (19) verriegelt. Die Kraftübertragung vom Steuerfuß (22) des gelenkig mit der Nadel (12) verbundenen Nadelschiebers (19) auf die Nadel (12) erfolgt über eine gesonderte Koppelungsstelle (23/24), und zur Erhöhung der Steuerungsmöglichkeiten ohne die Ausbildung zusätzlicher Schloßbahnen lassen sich auf die Drückerfüße (26) der Riegelplatinen (25) einwirkende Druckschloßteile (57 - 59) in der Schloßebene verschieben.
