1. A quenching bath with built-on lock for the quenching under protective gas of bulk workpieces disposed in annealing grids or baskets and heated in an industrial furnace, having : a lock chamber which comprises at least one opening closable by a door for the introduction and removal of an annealing grid and in which an annealing grid turning device is mounted to rotate around a horizontal axis and can be rotated forwards and backwards by means of a driving device between a receiving position, in which the annealing grid turning device is ready to receive an annealing grid lying with its opening upwards, and an emptying position in which the opening of an annealing grid received points downwards for its emptying : and a quenching bath tank disposed below the annealing grid turning device in the lock chamber, the annealing grid being lockable in the annealing grid turning device by means of locking members which are movably mounted on the annealing grid turning device and can be actuated at choice, characterized in that anchored in the lock chamber (1) is a lifting device (53, 42) which has a driving device (49) and with which an immersion basket (31) continuously remaining in the lock chamber (1) is connected which can be reciprocally moved by the lifting device (53, 42) between a raised position, in which it can be filled from the annealing grid (27), and a lowered position, in which the immersion basket (31) is lowered into the quenching bath tank (9), and the driving device (25, 28, 49), the lifting device (53, 42) and also the annealing grid turning device (8) and the locking members are disposed outside the lock chamber (1).

Ein Abschreckbad mit angebauter Schleuse zum Abschrecken unter Schutzgas von in Glührosten oder -körben (27) befindlichen und in einem Industrieofen erwärmten schüttfähigen Werkstücken enthält eine Schleusenkammer (1), in der ein Abschreckbad (9) angeordnet ist. Innerhalb der Schleusenkammer (1) befindet sich eine Glührostwendeeinrichtung (8) zum Entleeren des Glührostes (27). Um ein chargenweises Weiterbearbeiten der abgeschreckten Werkstücke zu ermöglichen, ohne daß der Glührost (27) mit abgeschreckt wird, befindet sich in der Schleusenkammer (1) ein Tauchkorb (31), in den der Glührost (27) entleert wird.
