[origin: EP0225193A2] A nozzle for spraying herbicides, pesticides and the like comprises a chamber (19) with an air inlet (16), a liquid inlet (12) and an outlet (20). The liquid inlet (12) produces a jet of liquid which impinges on a baffle (21) to produce primary atomisation of the liquid. Air from the air inlet (16) entrains the droplets of liquid and directs the stream through the outlet (20) and onto a deflecting surface (22) which produces secondary atomisation and deflects the stream out of the nozzle. Droplet size and pattern are improved and can be optimised for any application.
