[origin: US4823582A] In a device for planing a sheet metal strip under tension as applicable in particular to rolling mills, the strip is passed between at least two small-diameter working rolls while being subjected to alternate flexural deformations in opposite directions as well as a third working roll located downstream with respect to the first two rolls and supported by a frame which is capable of adjustable pivotal displacement with respect to the first two rolls.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de planage d'une bande (1) métallique sous traction (T) comprenant au moins deux rouleaux de travail (2 et 3) de faible diamètre entre lesquels la bande passe. Ce dispositif est caractérisé parce qu'il comporte un troisième rouleau de travail (4) dont la position est réglable par rapport aux deux premiers rouleaux (2 et 3) de manière avantageuse, le réglage de la position du troisiéme rouleau (4) par rapport aux deux autres rouleaux est assuré par le pivotement d'un bâti (8) supportant ce rouleau autour de l'axe du premier rouleau (2) susdit.
