Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8607329A1] Motorized ultralight flying craft of the pendular type designed to have good soaring flight characteristics. The craft comprises a removable wing (1) and a streamlined fuselage (6) containing an engine and the pilot (7), which is lying in a prone position to control the wing (1) in the same way as with a conventional delta wing. A twin-blade propeller (20) is mounted on a rectractable support (21, 22) mounted at the rear of the fuselage. The propeller may thus be retracted in a longitudinal opening (23) of the fuselage. The folding back and the retraction of the propeller may be effected during the flight. The craft enables to effect flights comprising phases of motorized flight and/or phases of soaring flight.

Appareil ultra-léger motorisé du type pendulaire, agencé pour présenter de bonnes aptitudes au vol plané. L'appareil comporte une aile amovible (1) et un fuselage caréné (6) renfermant un moteur et le pilote (7), qui est couché en position ventrale pour commander l'aile (1) de la même manière qu'une aile delta traditionnelle. Une hélice bipale (20) est montée sur un support rabattable (21, 22) installé à l'arrière du fuselage. L'hélice peut ainsi être escamotée dans une ouverture longitudinale (23) du fuselage. Le rabattement et le relevage de l'hélice peuvent être effectués pendant le vol. L'appareil permet d'effectuer des vols comportant des phases de vol motorisé et/ou des phases de vol plané.
