A spray head for spraying a thermoplastic hot-melt adhesive a) having at least one feed channel (14) for the heated hot-melt adhesive, b) having an outlet at the lower end of the feed channel (14), c) having a tapered feed channel (52) for a stream of gas, d) having a mixing chamber (54) into which both the feed channel (14) for the heated hot-melt adhesive and the gas feed channel (52) open, and e) having a nozzle opening (58, 80) connected to the mixing chamber (54) for the atomized hot-melt adhesive, characterised by the following features : f) outlets (86, 88, 90, 92) for gas jets directed onto the emerging, atomized hot-melt adhesive are arranged distributed symmetrically round the nozzle opening (58, 80) ; g) seen in plan view on the nozzle openings (58, 80), the gas jets extend from the outlet (86, 88, 90, 92) parallel to one another in pairs and past the nozzle opening (58, 80) ; and h) the streams of gas for the mixing chamber (54) on the one hand and the outlets (86, 88, 90, 92) on the other hand are adjustable independently of one another (60, 64).
