Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0225946A1] A method of producing a highly purified oleic acid is disclosed, which comprises the steps of: (a) separating and removing the resulting precipitated crystal after the cooling of a solution of oleic acid containing fatty acid mixture and urea in an organic solvent; (b) separating the resulting crystallized crystal after the partial saponification of the organic solvent solution; and (c) subjecting the crystal to an acid decomposition.
