[origin: EP0226056A2] A swivel device for work-piece spindle heads of a grinding machine, especially a cylindrical internal-grinding machine, for producing cylindrical and tapered bores and for correcting these surfaces. For this purpose, the mounting and clamping of the swivel unit are of such a construction and are designed in their relationships to one another in such a way that, on the one hand, a mounted work-piece spindle head can be traversed without problem and, on the other hand, a stick-slip effect is eliminated even during swivel movements in the smallest steps. <IMAGE>
