[origin: EP0226163A2] A process is provided for producing a molded wooden product having at least one hole therein by placing a fibrous mixture composed of wood fiber, a binder, a water-repelling agent, and mold release agent, etc., in the compression mold and compressing molding the mixture. The fibrous mixture is placed in the mold either directly or in the form of a preformed mass of predetermined shape. Each hole is provided by a mandrel in the mold or in both the mass-forming apparatus and the mold.
