Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0226170A2] A process is provided for producing a molded wooden product from a fibrous wood mixture made of wood fibers, binder, water-repelling agent, and other additives. The fibrous mixture is placed in a heated compression mold directly or after forming into a mass of predetermined shape and then placing the mass into the compression mold. The wood fiber (fibrous mixture) are then hot-compression molded to form the molded wooden product. During the compression step, air and gases are evacuated and vented from the mold cavity through various air passages formed in the mold.
