Abstract (en)
The machine comprises a chassis (2), a step-down motor (20), a cutting drum (4) offset laterally with respect to the chassis (2) of the machine and supported at one end of an arm (3) hinged by its other end to one end of the step-down motor (20). The arm (3) is actuated by a jack (21). The arm (3) connected to the step-down motor (20) and supporting the drum (4) extends laterally with respect to the chassis (2) in the direction in which the cutting is progressing. The direction of the arm can be changed using the jack so as to allow different cutting heights without the arm in practice overhanging the rear of the chassis during the cutting. <IMAGE>

La présente invention concerne une haveuse comportant un châssis (2), un moto-réducteur (20), un tambour d'abattage (4) décalé latéralement par rapport au châssis (2) de la haveuse et supporté à une extrémité d'un bras (3) articulé par son autre extrémité à une extrémité du moto-réducteur (20), ce bras (3) étant actionné par un vérin (21). Le bras (3) relié au moto-réducteur (20) et supportant le tambour (4) se prolonge latéralement par rapport au châssis (2) dans une direction d'avance de l'abattage, la direction du bras étant modifiable à l'aide du vérin de manière à permettre différentes hauteurs d'abattage sans que pratiquement le bras ne dépasse à l'arrière du châssis lors de l'abattage.
